Baby Wipes deal at Target

I may regret sending this out b/c my Target may now run out, but on Target.com ( if you want to print 4 per page go to afullcup.com) has a coupon out for 3.00 off 2 huggies items. If you have any huggies wipes or bath and body coupons it is a great deal. You can combine a Target coupon with a manufacters coupon for double the savings. I got 6 tubs (64ct.) and 2 pkgs.(40 ct) and 2 body washes for 4.15. It is a great deal especially if you have a little one on the way. I also use them to have Anya help me clean the bathroom. In some Target's the 40 ct pkg. it 1.47 that means if you use only the Target coupon it is free!!! YEAH!! It is one per transaction so to make it legal make sure you divide up your coupons and put dividers inbetween each transaction. This is the first real bargain Ed asked if I was sure I didn't need more. I will probably go back. The coupon doesn't exprire until the 10th of Jan. Oh and if you are wondering bargain shopping is a huge passion of mine.! Happy shopping

The amazing Anya

Last night I heard Anya doing laps around the island in the kitchen. I go in and she is riding her "horse." Way to be creative my dear.

Today we drove by McDonalds she told me she wanted french fries. I told her that was not an option today, she said then can I please have chicken with buffalo sauce? Neither Ed nor I eat buffalo sauce, how did she know what that was. She amazes me.

I miss FL

We got our first "real" snow today it was about 1.5 inches. I hate the cold. Yes it is pretty but I would take heat over snow any day. Not Ed. He lives for this weather. I guess Anya does too. Again pics will have to go in later. Dumb computers. I was talking to my friend in Fl and she said her playgroup was cancelled today because it was too cold, insert big gasping laugh here, 60. I told her it was 30 and snowing and Anya was outside playing and I should probably put mittens on her and zip up her coat, oh yeah and a hat might be helpful. I was inside, my yard is fenced and Annie ( our dog ) was out there with her. Oh yeah did I mention I hate the cold.

Anya's 3 year visit

Anya had her 3 year visit in Nov. She weighs a whopping 26 lbs and is 36 and 3/8 inches tall. Yes ladies and gentlemen she is in the 10th percentile. She is so tiny. She has a friend who is smaller though. At least shorter anyway. She must take after me.

Happy 4 months

Kevin was 4 months on Nov. 20th (I'm a little behind) At his visit he weighed an even 15 lbs and was 24 inches long. 50th percentile for height and 55th for weight. Chubber! He also is still on his endless search for the illusive thumb, I guess his finger will have to work until he finds it.

While I was packing

We were heading up to CT for the 3 days before Thanksgiving. I was busy packing we were leaving in a hour or so, I hear Ed in his What did you do voice, "That is not how you use scissors!" At least it was in the front and we could play it off as an angled cut.

Rice Cereal

I love rice cereal! He now only wakes up every 4-5 hours instead of 2. I will post pics if Marlene ever sends them to me, they are on her camera. I now worship the Gerber god.

We got Elfed

My fried Jess sent me this link to Elf yourself. You should check it out it's really cute. I strongly recommend it if you have any children under the age of 95.

Tag You're It

I have been tagged by Kayla. Six things you may or may not know about me.

1. I am married to Ed. He is 2 years older than me. We both grew up in CT. He worked 10 min. away from where I grew up. We rollerbladed at the same places and ate at the same places yet never managed to meet, Until Aug. 2000(?). My best friend Jess was getting married in a few weeks and was having a birthday party for her husband at their condo. Jess had been trying to set me up with Ed (she didn't want to marry both of them) He was Nick's best friend. I went to the party and met him. He was very quiet but had a nice smile. I didn't think anything of it, I had a boyfriend. We became friends and then my boyfriend and I broke up and we got married in 2002.
2. I only went to 1 semester of formal college. I almost got my certification in Infant/Toddler childcare but had to quit because I was too sick and pregnant. I worked at a small daycare/preschool in Cheshire, near my Mom's house and loved it. I look back on it with fond memories. Before I did that I worked at a Convalescent Center as a dietary aide and as a receptionist. I have also waitressed a few times. I have to admit I am not that good. I am a better hostess. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up but I do love my current job.
3. I love to read. I have not read a book in a while, I am afraid to go to the library in my town, I know dumb! I will probably go next week or this weekend. I also love the beach, I miss FL!, hiking and camping, rollerblading, pilates and yoga. I love to exercise and to be fit. I am also starting to explore cooking and eating healthy and canning and starting small sewing projects. Can't say I love it yet.
4. I am pretty fluent in ASL ( American Sign Language) That is to say I can have a conversation. Anya is also starting to get that way. I wanted to learn to sign when I was about 6 or 7 so my Mom took me to the Public Library and I took out every book in the children' s section on it, it snowballed from there. I started teaching Anya when she was a baby and now she walks around the house and asks me the sign for almost everything. I love to teach her. The last phone converstation I had with my Dad before he passed I told her how I was teaching Anya her colors, he told me to keep teaching her, it was important to know. He always tried to learn, He would always ask me conversational signs and he made an effort to use them as much as he could. Mallory and Marlene can also sign. Mal may be better than me. Not sure. It is a great way to talk during church.:)
5. I am a control freak, I am just able to admit this. As of a few weeks ago I realized that I am not spontaneous at all and I need to control everything in my, and others lives. I am also a huge planner and my calendar is my brain book, if I do not write it down it won't happen.
6. I did not realize how much I enjoyed having alone time until I had my second child. So far I have had 1 alone time. I ran to the store for salsa. 15 min. YES!!! I am also a t.v. aholic. I have to DVR my shows or I will watch all day.
Hope you learned a little about me.
I tag, Marlene, Mom, Ash, Mallory, and Jess

Too much tv

Yesterday Anya was watching Word World after she woke up from her nap. It had just ended and she told me she wanted to watch it again. I told her it was over and she couldn't. Then she said we can go to PBSKids.com (It's actually .org) I guess they pick up more from TV than we know!

Gratitude

Last week in church the speakers ran a little short in time. The Bishop was filling in and he said that one thing he has noticed in life is that everyone no matter what their background has one thing in common and that is strife. I have to admit that is where I phased out. I began to think what is the "strife" in my life. I thought the whole week and came up with a big fat nothing. Last night I got a huge revelation that I am so grateful for my life. At this point in my life there is nothing I would change (ok I may put all my friends in one state). I am just so thankful for everything I have. I am a very blessed person.

Some cute and funny things

My visiting teacher Alice sent me this link and after a minute I just couldn't help laughing along. Hope you enjoy!

If you have not seen this you need to, it is a comedian singing a Mom's day to William Tell's 4th overature. A hilarious tribute to Motherhood.

I hope you enjoy.

Happy Halloween

Anya doesn't have a choice on what she is for Halloween yet. She gets to be whatever was on sale after Halloween last year, so she was a "scary" alligator who would not keep the hood on, everyone thought she was a dragon. (That was last year) Thank you Grandma Webster for the Dalmatian costume. Everyone thought I was so cute. I was also warm and toasty. Believe it or not this was the best picture from the night. Pathetic! I'll have to dress them back up and get a better one. The neighbor got the best one, but it is a Polaroid and that is not up loadable.

Happy Birthday Old Man

On Oct. 27th Ed turned 28. He is officially almost 30! I still have a few years. He wanted chocolate pie instead of cake, so that is what he got. He also go the Transformers movie and a cute book from Anya and his all time favorite XBox 360. I am now a video game widow. Happy Birthday Ed.

Leah the late bloomer

My Mother practically died when I told her I wanted to borrow her canning stuff. I canned tomatoes this summer, only 4 quarts. I am now canning applesauce. I love homemade applesauce and Ed was convinced he didn't like it, so a challenge was issued. I made zucchini bread and then proceed to make applesauce out of 9 lbs. of apples, Empire and Fuji to be exact. May I add it does not even contain sugar, a little cinnamon yes but no sugar. Ed tried it and liked it so much he decided to join in.

I must say I am quite proud of the finished product. And it is delicious.

I talked to my Mom on the phone today and asked if I could borrow her sewing machine until Christmas. I am making most of my presents this year.Again she almost died. I could hear her picking herself up off the floor, almost as good as the time I called home and told her I got my bellybutton pierced when I was 15.(It was a joke) I always thought I was the black sheep of the family, not a domestic bone in my body, but I guess I was just Leah the late bloomer. I may have found a new hobby. It goes great with our new eating style. Organic and natural. I never thought I would turn into this.

Feeling fall

This past weekend we went pumpkin picking at Johnson's Farm. It was a lot of fun. We did the hayride out to the field and picked pumpkins and gourds. Anya had a blast picking the gourds, just her size.

Then we went into the store to get some butternut squash, spaghetti squash and apples and of course apple cider donuts. They had this great antique tractor that you could sit on and of course Anya and her Papa wanted a turn.
Then we had to have a carving party. We invited our friends the Hames family over for shrimp scampi and pumpkin carving.

Friends and fall, it doesn't get much better than that.

My trendy 3 month old

I love the show Top Chef on Bravo. There was a contestant named Dale who was one of my favorites. He had a little mohawk. I have noticed that mohawks are becoming trendy again. I decided to make my little man look trendy, without the clippers. Marlene calls it a fauxhawk. I thought it was cute but Ed thinks he looks too much like Dale, who by the way was the flamboyant gay one!
What do you think?

I like it! I say while he doesn't protest I can dress him however I want!

Weekends in CT

This month, by the end of the month we will have made 3 trips to CT. Talk about lots of driving, it is 3 hours away and that is with minimal traffic. It is a hassle but it is usually fun. Here are some of the things we have done this month up there.

We helped Auntie Rachie do yard work at Grandma and Grandpa Florians house.

We also went cosmic bowling at the duck pin bowling lanes. So my 26 lb. 3 yr old could lift the balls!

And finally, learned that Anya has a future in the circus. Yes that is a Bumbo box. She thought she was a baby bird. She was supposed to be going to bed. It was about 10:00 p.m. Overall it was lots of fun.

Are we too matchy matchy?

Here are some older photos that I just think are too cute. I call them my matchy matchy section. I have decided that I should never have twins!

I still have to take a picture of them in their tractor shirts!

This weekend

This weekend I went to Time Out for Women and saw a friend that I haven't seen in a while. She told me if I want to join the blogging club, I have to pay my dues. Then I realized I hadn't written in a month. Wow am I lousy at this. An update on the kids. Kevin is huge he will be 3 months on the 20th and weighs a whopping 14 lbs. I say whopping because at 3 months Anya was 10.5 lbs. I call him my chubba chubba burning love. Kevin was blessed this weekend. I didn't take any pictures. I am an awsome Mom. I will take some next week and then you can see him in his little tux. Thanks Grandma! We went cosmic duckpin bowling on Sat. with Anya, I recommend it as a fun night. Marlene has a slideshow on www.websterlife.com. That is what happened this weekend. Besides the fact it is cold and lovely and I am loving fall that is what we are up to lately.

Kevin is 2 months

Happy 2 month

Kevin turned 2 months on the 20th also. He is changing so much. He follows me as I walk by now and smiles when I look at him. He also laughs and is on a solid sleeping schedule now. He is also a super chunk and loves the animals on his mobile and the ceiling fan more than anything. He also loves patty-cake and music. He is not so fond of our dogs, Anya and having to wait for anything!

Anya's 3rd birthday

Sept. 20th Anya turned 3. Let me recap a few things for those who have not met her. Anya was born while I was evacuated for hurricane Ivan. She has been the hurricane in my life. I have never met a child with more personality and spunk. She keeps me on my toes. She may look like the clone of my husband but according to my family she has my personality, look out world.
We spent her birthday laying on the couch watching tv for 14 hours straight. I had a nasty stomach bug. I will spare you the details but lets just say all Anya ate that day was anything she could reach in the pantry, raisins and juicy juice in the box form. Luckily I had let her open her presents as they came in the mail. And Ed and I had given her her present on Sat.
She got a lollipop and a dress from G Grandma Webster. A box of clothes from my friend Rosa in FL the tights being her favorite, a trampoline from her parents and a thomas tent from her Grandpop and Grandma Lonegan.

Could you possibly have a luckier or more spoiled little girl?!

Sunday night playing with Papa

When Ed leaves I get super sick of entertaining Anya all day. By the time dinner is over I have had it. Today we solved that problem. Anya got to play with her Papa.

Tonight they played in the pool (actually a dog bed), jumped on the trampoline and even played puppets, Ed was a rooster. I am so glad my daughter has a great imagination.

Dear Papa

Dear Papa,
We have decided to write you a letter to tell you that we miss you. We are sick of pasta and pizza and wish you would come back so Mama would cook again. The house is so trashed Anya can't play anywhere but right on top of me. Please come home so she'll clean up. We finally have clean clothes, only because Anya was out of underwear. I (Kevin) can't sleep because the t.v. is always on some dumb reality show every night. Deep down inside we miss the background noise of your dumb car and truck shows. I (Anya) am whiny all the time because Mama spends all her time feeding Kevin and I have to watch cartoons. Although today I discovered Snorks! Do you remember that show? We can't wait until Wednesday when we get you from Texas. We miss you and love you.
Your children
P.S. Mama also no longer goes to bed at a reasonable hour.

First shopping trip

Today is the 1st shopping trip with 2 kids since I have had 2. We were hunting for great boots. We found them!

And this is what the kids looked like after...

Anya was not cooperating and quite grumpy, her "tummy still hurts" But she is fine when she wants brownies or fruit snacks! My Dad used to call it the 2:30 miracle cure(that's when school got out) Well at least I got great boots!

Catch the bug

I have caught the blog bug. I have decided since my Mom's blog is too difficult for me to figure out how to post pictures and the what not. I have decided to jump on the online public journaling also known as blogging. So here we are. Stay tuned for more details...
