Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh

Apparently so are white and blue.

Many of you know that I am a little crunchy! I have been buying organic eggs for a while now. We go through eggs like crazy 1-2 doz. a week. I was spending 8.00 in eggs a week. Ed came home one day and said that there was a guy at work who has 30 chickens at his house and he is selling the eggs. ( Chickens lay 1 egg per day per chicken) I asked him to ask if they were natural chickens and free range and how much he wanted per doz. Ed came home and said that he wants 1.00 a doz. I almost died. Fresh, local, natural eggs for 1.00. I love living in the country and saving 6.00 a week.

Happy Easter

We went to CT for easter and had a great time. Anya is finally old enough to really enjoy an egg hunt. Kevin is old enough to enjoy the plastic eggs, and Mallory. Keona enjoyed whipped cream on her nose, and we all had fun dressing up. Thanks Grammy Grammy!

Anya is my big sister

... and she likes to be so helpful. Her new thing is trying to feed me.

Summer in Chile

Normally I try to buy organic and seasonal produce, but today while I was at Trader Joe's I saw the sugar baby watermelons and they called my name. It was like eating candy! My little man loves him some watermelon.

Naked yoga anyone?

Kevin loves the bridge pose. I think it is because he watches me do it every morning while everyone else is still sleeping. He has done it since he was only a few months old. What is cuter than a naked baby doing yoga?

Could it be is it ......

Spring?
The weather here is getting warmer and we have been spending more time outside. We love living less than 1/4 mile from 3 parks! Here are some pics of the kids outside

Book Tag

I was tagged by Crystal but I just haven't gotten around to it until today.

My book is The Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason

Here are the rules:
*Find the book closest to you with at least 123 pages.
*Turn to page 123.
*Find the fifth sentence.
*Post the next 3 sentences.
*Tag 5 people.

"It's not up there," Charlie was saying. "Hurry up!" I said."They're coming." Suddenly a voice rose from the darkness behind me.

I don't tag anyone in particular. If you want to do it then do it.

Sleep where are you?

Anya was a fantastic sleeper. Kevin is not. I have decided I have a new mission. Objective: To get Kevin to wake up only once or twice in the night.
This message has self destructed every night since he was born.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I want to do is get some sleep. A great night is when he only screams for an hour and doesn't wake up again until 5:30. I have tried everything except for sending Ed in. He is useless when I wake him up but I am trying it this weekend. Any suggestions, I have even tried fasting and praying! I need more than 3-4 hours a night and so does he. P.S. He is only napping for a total of 3-4 hrs during the day!

Funny things Anya said this weekend

On Friday night we decided to treat ourselves and go to The Cheesecake Factory. We go out to eat at least twice a month so Anya is well versed in her restaraunts. Her favorites are Cracker Barlin (Cracker Barrell) and my friend's house(Friendly's) We told her we were going to TCF and she says,"I don't like cheese on my cake" Ed and I laughed. She later learned that she loves cheese in her cake!
We were in the car talking about cars or something like that. I noted that I think a single cab small truck would be a perfect first car for a child, joking I commented that we should save Ed's '91 Dodge for her. From the backseat comes an opinionated, " I don't want a Dodge!" Ed was so proud at that moment. Neither did he but we couldn't beat the price.
