Goals and such

This year I made a goal to increase the intensity and frequency of my workouts. We went and purchased the EA active "game" for the Wii. It is awesome and would recommend it to anyone!

I decided that this wasn't enough. A friend of mine just started running and runs at about my pace ( a jog). We have ran together once and are trying to do it more frequently. It is the first time I have run outside in the winter. I am pretty proud of myself. The 1st time we went 2.3 miles. I was a little sore the next day but not too bad. I an hoping that I will learn to enjoy running.

Worst part: The wind, and the ice. We had to do a lot of running in the middle of the road.
Best part: The smell, I love the smell of outside. The confidence that it gave me that I can do it without dying!

Nice work, Leah! I love walking outside and have done it through most of this winter (trying to keep Baby Wheeler in shape!) Looking forward to jogging again this summer. Keep it up!

If I can run a 1/2 marathon, anyone can. I really learned running is a mental game. If you can over come your minds desire to stop, you'll be fine. That's the worst part. Have fun!!!
